Helene Maria Kenyeri

started her oboe instrumental studies with Gerhard Turetschek in 1998 at the University for Music and Performing Arts Graz/Oberschützen. At the same time, she studied with Harald Hörth at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität and also completed her degree in music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She completed all her studies with an honours degree. To further develop her musical abilities and to broaden her horizon, she studied privately with Paul Kaiser and attended the Klangforum Wien’s master’s program PPCM (Performance and Practice in Contemporary Music). This too, she completed with an honours degree in November 2012.
During her instrumental studies, Helene Kenyeri already played the oboe and cor anglais in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera. She is now working as an oboist at the recreation-Großes Orchester Graz, the ensemble reconsil wien and the Trio Mignon Wien.
Since 2012, she has been holding a teaching position at the Joseph Haydn Konservatorium Eisenstadt and since 2017 also at the Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule in Vienna. These enable her to pass on not only her skills but also her passion to her students. Helene Kenyeri also received many renowned prizes and awards, such as the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra Prize 2003 and the Dr. Karl Böhm Stipendium 2007.
